We are Michigan’s Industry 4.0 Knowledge Center – Automation Alley is a World Economic Forum Advanced Manufacturing Hub (AMHUB) and a nonprofit Industry 4.0 knowledge center with a global outlook and a regional focus. We facilitate public-private partnerships by connecting industry, education, and government to fuel Michigan’s economy and accelerate innovation. Our programs give businesses a competitive advantage by helping them along every step of their digital transformation journey. We obsess over disruptive technologies like AI, the Internet of Things and automation, and work hard to make these complex concepts easier for companies to understand and implement.

We Are Detroit’s Entrepreneurship Hub – We help tech startups and local businesses launch and grow. We are an incubator and accelerator. We support businesses with coworking and office space, meeting space, and event space. We also connect entrepreneurs to resources and learning and networking events in Detroit.

TechTown’s Impact – Between 2007 and 2019, TechTown served more than 2,700 companies at our Midtown hub and in neighborhoods across Detroit. These businesses created nearly 1,600 jobs and leveraged more than $160 million in start-up capital.
